About the event
The South Carolina Immigrant Victim Coalition (IVC) is a diverse group of professionals and community leaders from different professions, all seeking to strengthen and build culturally and linguistically competent services for immigrant victims of crime. Our statewide coalition is dedicated to ensuring that this group has meaningful access to justice and available services, benefits and resources. Sadly, many vulnerable people in the Upstate still slip through the cracks.
Recently, regional councils of the IVC have begun forming to provide a localized approach to the needs of the community and ease the burden of travel for our participants. The Coastal Council is already meeting in North Charleston. Be a part of the kick-off interest meeting for the Upstate Council of the Coalition!
Although this initiative is organized under the umbrella of the Statewide Immigrant Victim Coalition, but we will need local leadership and community collaboration to make this group a success!…
