System Mapping

The South Carolina Immigrant Victim Coalition Summer Statewide Meeting will be a different kind of networking meeting. Service providers will be asked to take the perspective of a hypothetical client who is entering into the victim services field. This in-person, interactive meeting will allow service providers to take a step back out of their daily work and get a big-picture view of what a survivor faces when entering 'the system.' Many times, service providers forget that we are part of the system. This meeting will help us piece together where we all fit in within the greater system of service provision. 

Additionally, this resource mapping activity will provide us with a physical 'map' of service providers, contacts, and resources. This map will be used by the coalition in our ongoing goal of creating a digital, up-to-date resource guide for immigrant victims of crime.
